About the project
Team: Bling Blank Studio (Will Faier & Andrea Peralta)
Paula Ríos, Latin Grammy winner, contacted us to create a very special video for the children’s song “Pato Vallenato”. This project was extra special because it is a Vallenato (a popular folk music genre from Colombia). The story of the song is charming on its own, featuring the migratory journey of the Blue-Winged Teal (Spatula discors). This duck travels all the way from Canada to Colombia, spending time in a very special Colombian Ecosystem: The “Ciénaga Grande de Santa Marta”. This ecosystem is known for its mangroves and vast biodiversity. Because of this, we did the character design based on different animal species that welcome the blue-winged teal in its trip to Colombia.
